Commanders Log

In space, no one can hear you do the laundry.

Commander’s Log is an ultra low budget, kooky, quirky sci-fi comedy for television. Commander Craig-Scott, a laundry and morale officer, is thrust into command of his industrial space ship, when four of the senior officers die. He and his second in command, Chief Blather, attempt to solve most of the problems of the ship by applying laundry techniques. The stories are told through the Commander’s daily reports to the Global Space Command, back on Earth.

Producer’s Notes:

Originally designed as 24 two minute blurbs for the internet, the pilot ultimately became two half hour shows for the Space Channel (in Canada). There is a continuing story arc, but if you come into it in the middle, the weirdness factor increases about 24 times. That’s why we made half hour format shows after that, including episode 3, which will be shown at Cascadia-Con for the first time anywhere.

There is now a package of 6 total shows, although they have not all been posted yet. This is because ultra low budget sci-fi usually means ultra long post production.

A new character is being introduced in Episode 3, played by Greg Anderson, who recently became a major heavy on Stargate. (His character, Lieut. Commander Bastaard, wants to take over the ship). Episodes 4, 5 and 6 also feature Mike Roberds, who played Uncle Fester in the New Addams Family, as Doctor Patsey.

We will look forward to your comments! (See our website)
