Gothic Court BallIn the land of Cascadia where the Mystery is celebrated with the Ball those who have dreamed of a surrealistic fantasy fading into a single night of dance and revelry will gather. Music and visuals heighten your senses as the night shields the true Court and the chambers surrounding it. Dance and dream amongst the darker edges of the fantasy realms. Music and laughter float in the air, inviting guests to follow. Ancient tapestries line the walls, glowing richly in the dim light. Men and women in ornate, outlandish regalia glide through large doors, their silks and satins glow in the warm candlelight. Their faces are hidden some in traditional or fanciful masks for the ball and others hidden in plain sight. We ask only that you be clothed in your most elegant finery, and masked so that your souls, and loyalties, are hidden. We will present such beauty and grace marred by the grotesque that even the creatures of the unknown will shake and hide. For in this night of decadence, we shall outdo the dark spirits themselves! You won’t be turned away for wearing your basic black, but you'll be missing out on one of the most exciting elements of the event. This is your opportunity to pull out your finery, dress to the nines, get dolled up, and enjoy a gothic fantasy waltz. This is a high fashion affair. Gothic & Fetish attire are encouraged! If you are a Gothic Lolita this is the event for you. When you arrive at the event you will be given a 3x5 card where you will be able to write your name and title to present to the Major Domo who will then announce you and your partner/ guest. There will be award ribbons for the ‘most elaborate’, ‘most phantasmagorical’, ‘best vampirical’, and ‘best dressed high society people’. Come one! Come all! To the social event of THE season!
